Disintegration of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the vertical perl mill with a bell-shaped impeller by A. Heim, R. Czerski.
Investigation of disintegration yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the laboratory batch perl mill with a bell-shaped impeller was carried out. The number non-damaged cells, changing time determined using hemocytometer (Thom’s chamber). To describe kinetics process differential equation applied: \(\frac{{dN_p }}{{dt}} = k \bullet N_p^m ,\) where N p cells sample, [number cells/ml] t time, [s] m,k constants. The effect three operating parameters: rotation frequency shaft n, filling disintegrating elements (ballotini) S and initial concentration suspension C 0 on analyzed. For =0.5, m=1 dependence constant were obtained. For =0.6 0.7 values m higher than 1. mill, ballotini exponent determined.
