Geometry dependent ductile to brittle transition of 10CrMoNbV ferritic–martensitic steel Manet II in terms of critical crack sizes by M. Lambrigger.
AbstractThe 10CrMoNbV Manet II cast has been selected as the reference ferritic–martensitic steel in framework of European Fusion Technology Programme. Charpy impact tests have carried out ductile to brittle transition temperature range this steel, such that a dynamic quasi-equilibrium achieved process zones investigated specimens before failure. This type testing enables evaluation Weibull moduli and, consequently, master curves. Thus, parameters calculated for normal size and subsize specimens. The evaluated, geometry dependent curves facilitate computation failure probability densities steels functions scaled critical crack sizes or initial defect sizes.
