Objective: To study effect of triptolide(TL) on neuronal apoptosis in cerebral tissue rat after ischemia-reperfusion. Method: Triptolide at dose 0.2 or 0.4 mg·kg -1was intr aperitoneally injected once a day for 4 d. The focal ischemia-rep erfusion model was established with thread embolism middle artery before trip tolide injection the fourth day. Neurological deficit score rats eval uated; and immunohistochemical techniques were used to count positive cells express MPO TUNEL tissue. Result: Compare d control group, neural function significantly impr oved, number infiltrate neutrophil cere bral remarkably reduced two TL-treated groups. Conclusio n: results suggested that TL can inhibit infiltration decrease degree [

Type 2 diabetes mellitus and its influence in the development of multidrug resistance tuberculosis in patients from southeastern Mexico

Type 2 diabetes mellitus and its influence in the development of multidrug resistance tuberculosis in patients from southeastern Mexico by Lucia Monserrat Pérez-Navarro, Francisco Javier Fuentes-Dominguez, Roberto Zenteno-Cuevas.

To determine the factors associated with presence of pulmonary tuberculosis in patients type 2 diabetes mellitus and effect development drug multi-drug resistance, a population from southeast Mexico. This is case-control study including 409 individuals, 146 binomial tuberculosis-type 263 individuals tuberculosis. Demographic, epidemiological outcome variables were collected. Risks calculated. The age ≥35years, (OR=9.7; CI: 5.2-17.8), previous contact person infected (OR=1.7; 1.1-3.1). Body mass index ≥25 kg/m(2) (OR=2.2; 1.1-4.3), inherited family history (OR=5.4; 3.2-9.2). It was also found that presented 4.7-fold (CI: 1.4-11.3) 3.5-fold 1.1-11.1) higher risk developing drug- multidrug resistance tuberculosis, respectively. By last, had 2.3-fold 1.5-4.1) greater chance persisting as tuberculosis-positive by second month treatment, delaying resolution infection.Type exerts strong influence on presentation evolution within analyzed displays remarkable particularities, necessitating dedicated tuberculosis-diabetes surveillance systems consider particular characteristics affected.

Influence of non-stoichiometric defects on nonlinear absorption and refraction in Nd:Zn co-doped lithium niobate

Influence of non-stoichiometric defects on nonlinear absorption and refraction in Nd:Zn co-doped lithium niobate by J.N. Babu Reddy, Suja Elizabeth, H. L. Bhat, N. Venkatram, D. Narayana Rao.

Nonlinear absorption and refraction phenomena in stoichiometric lithium niobate (SLN) pure co-doped with Zn Nd, congruent (CLN) were investigated using Z-scan technique. Femtosecond laser pulses from Ti:Sapphire (800 nm, 110 fs pulse width 1 kHz repetition rate) utilized for the experiment. The process responsible nonlinear behavior of samples was identified to be three photon (3PA). This is agreement band gap energies obtained linear cut off slope plot Ln(1 − TOA) vs. Ln(I0) Sutherland’s theory (s = 2.1, 3PA). refractive index (n2) doped found lower than that samples. Our experiments show there exists a correlation between properties stoichiometry values n2 fall into same range as those materials similar gap.

Influence of the distribution function on eigenoscillations and stability of a beam

Influence of the distribution function on eigenoscillations and stability of a beam by Ingo Hofmann.

Eigenfrequencies are calculated for the transverse oscillations of a round beam radially confined in solenoidal magnetic field. Under assumption linear restoring force equilibrium beam, with partial or total neutralization by an immobile background charge, influence different distribution functions on stability is investigated. It found that well‐known extended instabilities microcanonical (Kapchinskij–Vladimirsky) replaced apparently insignificant patches instability if function broadened, hence loss‐cone partially filled up. The water‐bag indicates transition to only stable eigenfrequencies and it this accompanied suppression negative energy oscillations, which responsible nonmonotonically decreasing distributions. method employed consists infinite series expansion eigenfunctions approximating determinant dispersion relation rapidly converging finite order subdeterminants.

Experimental studies on the influence of male alcoholism on fetal development

Experimental studies on the influence of male alcoholism on fetal development by Harumi Tanaka, Nobuyuki Suzuki, Masataka Arima.

To study the effect of paternal chronic ethanol consumption on fetal development, an experimental rat model was established and compared to alcohol syndrome. Male female Wistar rats were divided into 30% (E) control groups. Before mating during pregnancy group received E water, respectively. Pregnancies terminated gestational day 21. The body weight, liver blood glucose, serum insulin cerebral CNPase activity decreased in alcoholic males. adverse maternal development shown clearly not related ethanol. alcoholism fetus litter size, or weight DNA, RNA leucine incorporation protein without a decrease size. former finding observed fetuses aged male latter young rats. In conclusion, both observations our indicate development.

Influence of prolonged excess sucrose intake on digestion and absorption in the small intestinal mucosa of the rat.

Influence of prolonged excess sucrose intake on digestion and absorption in the small intestinal mucosa of the rat. by Noboru Kuboyama, Yoshikazu Namiki, Yoshiaki Kaneko, Seimi Ishihama, Akira Fujii, Toyoyuki Tamura.

The influence of trait and physical-feature-based orienting strategies on aspects of facial memory

The influence of trait and physical-feature-based orienting strategies on aspects of facial memory by Alan J. Parkin, Cheryl Hayward.

This paper describes a series of incidental learning experiments in which facial memory is assessed following either ‘connotative feature’ task (how likable this person?) or ‘distinctive feature task’ (what the most prominent physical face?). Subjects saw each target face different environmental setting (e.g. pub, carpark) and their was tested two ways: an old/new recognition test, presented mugshot form (i.e. devoid original context), second context recall test subjects’ ability to remember had appeared examined. The results showed five important findings: (1) subjects performed connotative significantly faster than distinctive features task; (2) accuracy measured various ways identical orienting conditions; (3) latencies targets distractors yes/no were processing; (4) faces during initially processing but not orientation; (5) substantially higher processing. These data are discussed terms Winograd’s (1981) assertion that physical-feature-based tasks induce same type encoding.
